The last couple of years have seen workspaces evolve hugely, from a compact 80 sq-ft per seat configured alongside in unending rows to more collaborative areas and huddle spaces, lesser number of cabins and even lesser number of meeting rooms. The scale and complexities of managing workspaces also have simultaneously increased. With these changing workspace economies, Commercial Design India Magazine commenced its 6th Smart Office India Summit at The St. Regis Mumbai on 26th April 2019 to address the challenges and issues existent in this segment. The Summit addressed the evolving trends and solutions that shape office environments of today.
Conceptualised to inspire, engage, ideate and share insights on progressive office space, the event witnesses the congregation of stalwarts from fields of facilities management, architecture, design, project management, urban planning & environmental consultants. The event was partners by industry experts Havells in association with LG, Gyproc, Geeken, Crisp and Flipspaces.

For the very first time, this year, the summit bought architects and facility managers to debate on some of the most asked but rarely answered questions in the industry. The debate explored topics which includes real life examples along with tried and proven case studies with specific references to design development, operational challenges, cost optimization, impact of disruptive technologies, dealing with management, re-writing the future of facilities together, alternative workspace strategies and space management.
