The spaces are designed to keep people and ideas flowing freely across a high-performing workplace. The interiors reflect the A3 Cube’s workspace culture, where formal and informal, as well as individual and group working spaces, thrive in a setting that promotes collaboration and social interaction.
The entire space was kept light and lively through a neutral palette of beige and grey, with pops of colour to liven it up, fitting for a creative event management agency. Natural textures dominate the spaces through rattan ceilings, textured walls, oak wood furniture, and grey-speckled flooring.
The reception area welcomes visitors to the sheerness of the contemporary-styled office. The informal bar lounge is boisterous and spacious, providing a place for visitors and working members to take a break and relax. Tessellated geometric tile flooring, a vivid mural, and quirky furniture create a welcome distraction from the monochrome, bringing employees together for quick refreshment.
A standout design element, the beautifully woven rattan cane ceiling enclosed within a wooden framework, dominates the interiors’ continuity. For the narrow passages, the design of the glass partitions merges with the ceiling’s design to provide a clear pathway.
The two private cabins are designed with the psychological effects of working in an enclosed personal space in mind. Our objective was to ensure the space provided a creative boost, with furniture and décor contributing to the design strategy.
The enclosed lounge acts as an ideal space for informal meetings and discussions. The curvilinear sofa exudes comfort and style, complemented by planters that add a fresh vibe. On the opposite end of the entrance are workstations. The desks are separated by fabric partitions, planters, and accessories. Beyond this is a conference room housing twelve seats, kept away from unwanted distractions.
To create a healthy workspace, the active design provides a diverse array of workspaces, with ample meeting rooms and quiet zones, promoting active movement within the office. Flexible workspaces help employees feel more in control of their workload and encourage loyalty. As visual appeal plays a major role in workplace satisfaction, the interiors incorporate non-distracting colours, textures, and materials that are welcoming and calming.
“This project enabled us to design a workspace with the comfort and well-being of the inhabitants in mind, especially those working long hours. Moreover, designing a space for a creative agency allowed our creative juices to flow too!” says Ar. Rajesh Sheth.
Sustainable Aspects:
Natural Light and Ventilation: The layout is designed so that every space, directly and indirectly through glass partitions, gets access to natural light. Light radically affects our well-being. Thus, the office layout is designed to maximize solar gain and reduce dependency on artificial lighting. All lights are LED, offering several advantages, including improved environmental performance and the absence of heat or UV emissions. “We believe that the quality of light around us has a profound effect on our well-being and should not be underestimated,” says Ar. Rajesh Sheth.
Biophilic Design: Natural elements have been prioritized in the office. The use of a wide variety of plant species inside and out, as well as views of nature from workspaces, creates a healthy environment.
Sustainable Materials: Rattan cane provides depth to the entire office through its use on the ceiling. In addition to its unique appearance, it is also an eco-friendly, sustainable material with long durability, making it an ideal choice. Low-VOC paints and finishes were also incorporated, releasing fewer harmful toxins into the air and being a better choice for health.
Noise and Acoustics: Carpet flooring in enclosed spaces, along with the cane ceiling and upholstered partitions in the workstation area, helps reduce noise and provides quiet spaces to work.
