Headquartered in Gurgaon, Apollo Munich owns about 145 branch offices pan-India. Most of them are sales offices and infrastructure has been built based on the archetype models of small, medium and large offices, and their asset deployment and facility provision is based on their respective locations. The basic idea was to create similarity in offices with smart aesthetics and facilities but with cues from the sales and pilot study of the current potential and future businesses.

Governed by IRDAI as the regulatory, the company needs to obtain necessary approvals by submitting the context of the offices along with the board and management-approved business plan. The size and infrastructure are planned based on the location and number of people to be accommodated for a minimum of three years. Then, the sufficiency is reviewed and taken up for relocation, if required.

Also, an honorary board member with iNFHRA, Konduri has been associated with the Apollo Hospitals group since 2002. He believes that the typical challenges are finding a commercial location with all necessary compliances in tier-2 and tier 3 locations. “Sometimes, minimum facilities like having a proper washroom are difficult to acquire. For us in the health insurance business, hygiene is a major concern. However, our endeavour is to manage and get things done by putting capital expenditure from our end, which increases the overall cost, giving us a challenge of longer break-evens from a business perspective,” encapsulates Konduri.
